In Sonic Frontiers, Wyvern is a massive Titan boss that the blue hedgehog battles while in Super Sonic form. There are many different effective strategies for taking him down during his numerous appearances throughout the experience. This includes The Final Horizon update. Here is how to beat Wyvern.
Before you start fighting Wyvern, you’ll have to reach the part where he is vulnerable. This means running along the rolling digitized trail he spits out, and dodging the lightning balls that come out. Simply sidestep or jump over them before proceeding.
Phase 1 (100%)
Parry
Note: Your ability to succeed against Wyvern while preserving as many rings as possible primarily depends on your ability to time parry. To make this easier, consider lowering the game’s difficulty in Settings.
Once in Super Sonic form, the fight against Wyvern actually begins. He will start off by shooting several missiles your way. As you see one get near you, prepare to parry and knock 1 of them back. Then you will approach his front.
Eventually once approaching the front, he will try to hit Super Sonic with a massive tail swipe. Wait 1-2 seconds, then execute a parry to knock him back.
Damage
When you see the white diamond icon appear on his face after he stuns from your parry, start mashing the attack button to build up the combo gauge.
After hitting him for a bit, he will prepare a rapid tail swipe. As soon as you see the animation, execute a parry right away to prevent Super Sonic from getting knocked back.
Phase 2 (50%)
Parry
At 50% health, Wyvern will enter its second phase. To make movement and dodging more challenging, he will start shooting out massive red laser rings that do a ton of damage on contact. Parry a missle and reach the front.
When you reach the front, he will try to hit Super Sonic with 2 massive tail swipes instead of one. Prepare to quickly parry these to stun him.
Damage
When you see the white diamond icon appear on his face after he stuns from your parry, start mashing the attack button to build up the combo gauge.
After hitting him for a bit, he will prepare a rapid tail swipe. As soon as you see the animation, execute a parry right away to prevent Super Sonic from getting knocked back.
Rinse and repeat.
Phase 3
After Wyvern is near destruction, you will simply watch a cutscene play out that requires you to press a single button at the right moment (QTE) when the line makes contact with the ring. Do this several times to win.
