In Sonic Frontiers, Giganto is a massive Titan boss that the blue hedgehog battles while in Super Sonic form. There are many different effective strategies for taking him down during his numerous appearances throughout the experience. This includes The Final Horizon update. Here is how to beat Giganto.
Parry
Note: Your ability to succeed against Giganto while preserving as many rings as possible primarily depends on your ability to time parry. To make this easier, consider lowering the game’s difficulty in Settings and aim for Giganto’s head while fighting to clearly see his arms.
When he gets into position to hit you, be ready to use parry as soon as his arms start to move. This will protect Super Sonic from flying away and losing precious rings/time and let you swoop right in to keep hitting him.
Build the Combo Gauge
You will start the fight against Giganto as Super Sonic. Begin by aiming directly for his head, and keep attacking until you fill the combo gauge. It’s okay to abuse Auto Combo (which is enabled by default in Settings), but you can disable this if you want to concentrate on specific attacks.
How to Deal Massive Damage
Once the combo gauge is filled after hitting Giganto’s head, press the correct button on your system to perform a Cyloop. Below are the controls:
- PS5/PS4: TRIANGLE
- Xbox: Y
- PC: RMB
This will stun the boss and allow Sonic to rise in the air. When this happens, immediately press the correct button on your system to perform a Stomp. Below are the controls:
- PS5/PS4: CIRCLE
- Xbox: B
- PC: CTRL
Rinse and repeat until the fight is over.
