In this guide, you will learn how to get rid of and release excess Pals you may have in your collection while playing Palworld.
Eventually, you will accumulate too many Pals. You are rewarded for catching 10 of the same Pal, but soon you will need to release some back into the wild. However, the game does not have the option to simply release Pals like in other creature-collecting games. Here’s what to do instead.
How to Release Pals in Palworld
There are several methods to getting rid of Pals you no longer want to keep in your party or your Palbox.
Drop Them
The simplest way to discard an unwanted Pal is to drop them on the ground. They must be in your party to do so. If you have any in your Palbox, simply place the ones in your party that you no longer wish to keep.
- Go into your Party tab.
- Press R on the Pal you don’t want.
The Pal will be dropped onto the ground, and the Sphere that carried them will appear. If you get close, it will display their stats and skills. Unfortunately, the Sphere will sit there indefinitely until it is picked up again by either you or another player.
Sell Them
You can always make a profit by selling Pals instead of dropping them.
Visit a local Pal Merchant or Black Marketeer. They will take unwanted Pals in exchange for Gold Coins, a currency that can be used to craft materials or purchase new Pals.
Stronger Pals are worth more when sold. But it’s not always worth it to catch high-level Pals for the purposes of selling. Rather, selling common and easily catchable Pals or ones you have naturally caught while playing will earn you more in the long run.
Kill Them
You can build a Meat Cleaver out of certain materials and then select it from your Command Wheel. When this option is chosen, your character will execute the Pal.
This strange option is available in spite of other, more ethical alternatives, but some people won’t be able to resist this cruel method. It’s made even more brutal knowing that you had other Pals harvesting Stone, Wood, and Ingots to create the weapon used for murder.
