Eggs are found all over the map and come in different sizes and elements. Pals can be hatched from these eggs, but they require an Egg Incubator.
Where to Find Eggs in Palworld
Eggs can be found from specific spawn points all over the map. After picking up an egg, another will soon respawn in the same spot. Consider using Map Genie to point you to the many egg locations around the map.
The eggs that respawn at these different points are random, so while you may find a damp egg in a location one day, you may instead find a verdant egg there the next day.
Eggs come in normal, large, and huge sizes. The larger they are, the more they weigh.
Once you hit level 19 and unlock the breeding farm, you can pair two Pals of the opposite sex and give them cake to produce an Egg.
How to Unlock the Egg Incubator and Hatch Eggs in Palworld
To hatch eggs, you will require an Egg Incubator. You will need to be at least level 7 and 1 Ancient Technology Point (obtained from beating bosses and Alpha Pals) to unlock the Egg Incubator recipe.
Once the recipe is unlocked, you will need the following materials to construct an Egg Incubator:
- 10x Paldium Fragments
- 5x Cloth
- 30x Stone
- 2x Ancient Civilization Parts
After the Incubator is placed, you can insert any eggs you have found, but there are several items of note:
- If you take out an egg that has not finished incubating, the hatch timer will reset.
- Eggs hatch faster with the right temperature. For example, Scorching Eggs will want hotter temperatures, and Frozen Eggs will want colder temperatures.
- How long an egg hatches depends on your server settings, egg size, and comfort level. Most eggs will take up to two hours to hatch.
- Every hatched egg yields a level 1 Pal.
Types of Eggs in Palworld
Every element in Palworld has a corresponding egg that matches, and the Pal that hatches correlates to the type. For instance, hatching a damp egg may result in a Fuack or Celaray.
- Common egg: Neutral
- Damp egg: Water
- Dark egg: Dark
- Dragon egg: Dragon
- Electric egg: Electric
- Frozen egg: Ice
- Rocky egg: Ground
- Scorching egg: Fire
- Verdant egg: Grass
The larger the egg’s size is, the rarer the Pal inside will be. This makes it easier to get some of the harder-to-catch Pals found in the late game.
