In this guide, you will learn how to make working conditions better for Pals at your base while playing Palworld.
When you assign Pals to work on your base, they will lose motivation while completing daily endless chores back at camp. This hampers their output.
Fortunately, there are many ways to manually (and automatically) improve morale and working conditions to make it a favorable environment for them.
Build a Feed Box
Constructing a Feed Box will ensure your Pals stay fed and not get hungry. It is unlocked at Technology level 4.
In addition, you can construct a Berry Plantation. This is unlocked at Technology level 5 and requires the following resources:
- 3x Berry Seeds
- 20x Wood
- 20x Stone
Assign a Pal with the Gathering Work Suitability to get it up and running. These will take care of the feeding needs of every Pal working at your base.
Make Pal Beds
Overworking Pals at the base will result in exhaustion, resulting in lower productivity. To maintain their motivation, you need to construct beds for each Pal.
Straw Beds are easiest to craft, and you will have access to them early on. Yet, the quality of sleep they provide is inferior to Fluffy Pal Beds (unlocked at Technology level 24).
Hot Springs
Each Pal has a sanity meter (SAN) that lowers based on how much work they have performed. You can develop structures like Hot Springs which serve as recreational activities to help bring back their SAN.
The Hot Spring is available at Technology level 9 and requires the following resources to craft it.
- 30x Wood
- 15x Stone
- 10x Paldium Fragment
- 10x Pal Fluids
The High-Quality Hot Spring is available at Technology level 31 and is far superior to the base version. It requires the following resources to craft:
- 100x Stone
- 100x Wood
- 30x Paldium Fragment
- 20x Cement
Maintain Engagement
If you see Pals sitting idle, you can pick them up and throw them towards a particular station at your base to keep them working.
