During the GeForce Beyond live event on YouTube and Twitch that aired on September 20th, NVIDIA debuted the long-rumored 40-Series of graphics cards. The RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 were shown off to the press, with Founders Edition cards made available in October and November.

The RTX 4090 will arrive on October 12 and will carry the price of $1,599. It is equipped with an insane 24GB DDR6 VRAM. Conversely, the RTX 4080 will come in two different variations. The 16GB version will be sold for $1,199, and the 12GB version will be sold for $899.

The company has promised that framerates offered with the new flagship card will be up to four times faster than the RTX 3090 Ti, but with identical power consumption.

NVIDIA has personally recommended that PC owners equip their rigs with a minimum 850-watt power supply to feed the new RTX 40-Series cards.
