How to Heal Pokémon
Unlike the core entries of the series, you cannot visit a local Pokémon Center and have your team healed up for free. In Pokémon GO, you are required to use items.

There are items that can heal Pokémon that have taken damage and there are items that can revive Pokémon that have fainted.
Simply tap the Pokeball icon in the middle of the Map View, then tap the Items icon. Select your intended healing item, and the game will display a list of Pokémon that have either taken damage or fainted. Tap the Pokémon you wish to heal.
It’s recommended to save your Max Potions and Hyper Potions to heal your strongest Pokémon due to their higher HP. Conversely, use your Potions and Super Potions to heal Pokémon with fewer HP.
Below is a master list of all recovery items and how much they each heal your Pokémon.

How to Get Healing Items
There are various methods to acquiring items necessary to heal your Pokémon in GO.
Leveling
Trainers can receive a wide range of items from leveling up, some of which include healing items including Potions and Revives.
Pokestops/Gyms
When you spin a nearby Gym or Pokestop, you have a 22% chance of receiving a Potion. The quality of the Potions that may drop depends on your level.
Potions start to drop at Level 5, Super Potions start to drop at Level 10, and Max Potions start to drop at Level 25.
Shop
You can purchase a bundle of 10 Max Potions for 200 Pokecoins and a bundle of 6 Max Revives for 180 Pokecoins.
Raids
When you defeat the boss Pokémon as part of the raid, you will often receive Revives.
Field Research Tasks
You can receive Potions and Revives from completing certain field research tasks.
Gifts
Your in-game friends can send gifts to you daily. In addition to Pokeballs and berries, there is a good chance you will receive a Potion.
