GTA VI Trailer Coming In December, Rockstar Confirms

grand theft auto 6 trailer

Rockstar Games, the developer of the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto series, has confirmed that fans will get an official preview of the sixth core entry in the franchise next month. This message was posted by Sam Houser on the Rockstar website, who verified that the trailer for GTA 6 will drop in early December to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto.

This date also lines up with The Game Awards which will be holding its 2023 event on December 7. Geoff Keighley, industry veteran, host, and organizer of The Game Awards has not commented on whether or not GTA 6 will be present at the show. However, it would not be unusual to see as this awards ceremony is notorious for its regular debut of trailers for massive games.

The last entry in the series, Grand Theft Auto V, was initially released in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It became the fastest-selling IP of all time, breaking $1 billion in sales within mere days of its release.

It’s good that Rockstar is finally approaching the online community with real information to help quell so many of the rumors that have been spread over the last few years.

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar, hinted at somewhere between late 2024 to early 2025. In an earnings call in August, Zelnick mentioned that this timeline would serve as a “significant inflection point” for the company.
