Theron Shan is a recruitable companion for all classes in the Knights of the Fallen Empire (KotFE) expansion for SWTOR. Learn more. Theron Shan Recruitment In later expansions, players can recruit companions of other class stories to join their Alliance, as well as brand new ones not seen since. Joins: Knights of the Fallen Empire (KotFE), Chapter 9: 'The Alliance' Recruitable by: All Characters Theron Shan Customizations Customization (Default) Customization (Undercover)Story (Republic/Empire) Theron Shan Romance Guide Romance available for: All characters How to start the romance Theron Shan makes his debut appearance during the Prelude to Shadow of Revan storyline, which requires a level 53 character or higher. You can start flirting with him during the Depths of Manaan Flashpoint as part of the storyline during the Prelude. Always pick the [FLIRT] dialogue option whenever it is available. At the conclusion of the Rishi storyline during the Prelude, you will have the option to either [FLIRT] with Theron Shan or Lana Beniko. Picking Theron will lead to the official start of the romance and a kissing scene. At the conclusion of the Yavin 4 storyline during the Prelude, Theron talks to the player. If you are Imperial, Theron will refuse to side with the Empire but still have feelings for you. No matter what faction you're on, make sure you choose the option to kiss before parting ways. During the Ziost storyline, Theron Shan meets with the player but desires to postpone the romance. In Knights of the Fallen Empire – Chapter 9, the player will give a speech after shuttling to Odessen for the first time. What's more, they will be united for Theron after much time has passed, and there is a [FLIRT] option. When you are meeting all the Alliance Specialists, you have the option to ask Theron "[FLIRT] When can we talk?" and he will say soon. In Knights of the Fallen Empire – Chapter 9, the player will visit the Odessen cantina with many characters, including Theron. When walking over to Theron, choose the dialogue option “[FLIRT] I need to see one of you.” This will continue the romance with Theron Shan. Next, when Theron starts talking about keeping things running smoothly, the player must choose the dialogue option “[FLIRT] Everything?” This solidifies the romance in place, and the game will prompt you with a confirmation. In Knights of the Fallen Empire - Chapter 11, the player will have a meeting with Theron, and there will be an option to [FLIRT] early on in the dialogue. In Knights of the Fallen Empire - Chapter 12, the player will meet Theron's mother, and have the option to inform her they are in a relationship with Theron. If the player is currently in a romance but also tries to kill her later on, there is additional dialogue. In Knights of the Fallen Empire - Chapter 16, the player will have a choice to make regarding Kaliyo Djannis and Aric Jorgan. Soon after, the player will have a cutscene with Theron and there is a kiss. In Knights of the Eternal Throne - Chapter 1, Theron Shan will come to rescue the player, and there is an option to [FLIRT]. In Knights of the Eternal Throne - Chapter 2, there is a [FLIRT] option during the holo call with Theron and Acina. In Knights of the Eternal Throne - Chapter 9, on the Gravestone, the player can choose to [Kiss Theron] or to [Inspire Theron]. During the War on Iokath storyline, the player can choose to flirt with Jace Malcolm (Theron's father), if they chose to side with the Republic. Surprisingly, this choice does not impact the romance with Theron Shan. During the War on Iokath storyline, Jace Malcolm is sacrificed if the player chose to side with the Empire. This choice does not impact the romance with Theron Shan, and the player can comfort Theron, and then choose to kiss him. Several scenes later, the player will tell Theron they love him. At the conclusion of the War on Iokath storyline, the player says they have felt betrayed. If they choose to accuse Theron, they can still continue the romance after. During the Umbara storyline, the player will return to Odessen and inquire about the state of the traitor. There will be a [FLIRT] option available as well as a kissing scene. During the Crisis on Umbara flashpoint, Theron reveals himself as the traitor but is working towards a greater goal while proclaiming he still loves the player. At the end of it, the player can choose to send a message to Theron, including "There's still hope for peace." or "He's a dead man." (it will not jeopardize the romance). While Theron will reply he loves the player, he will refuse to return to the Alliance. At the start of the Nathema flashpoint, Theron confesses they were working as a double agent to infiltrate the enemy. Choose to save a wounded Theron with the option "Let's go home." After returning to Odessen, choose "Of course we are" to ensure Theron remains with the Alliance. The player and Theron will go somewhere private. Choose the option "Absolutely" and be greeted with a confirmation by the game to resume your romance. Theron then promises he will spend the rest of his life showing the player how much he loves them, and the player can choose "Was that a proposal?" to have Theron ask their hand. This results in a kiss scene with the player automatically accepting. However, if you choose the other option, "You'd better." the romance will continue without marriage. At the start of the Ossus storyline, the player and Theron will hug, as he knows former spies are not welcome on that planet. After returning to Odessen, the player will give a small speech, and then be requested by Theron to go on a romantic ride with him on a speeder across the canyon. Choose the option "[Kiss Theron]". After the conclusion of Onslaught, the player will have the option to [Kiss Theron] after speaking on the Fleet. Romance conflicts You can still begin a romance with Theron Shan in later expansions even if you started a romance with a previous class story companion at the start of your character’s journey in the game. However, if you start or renew any other romances during the Knights of the Fallen Empire, Knights of the Eternal Throne, or Onslaught expansions, Theron Shan will consider the relationship ended. Theron Shan Companion Gifts It is recommended to maximize your Companion’s Influence to Level 50, as this will improve their combat proficiency and unlock nearly every available conversation with them. The best item to use to instantly reach Influence 50 without using gifts is none other than the Companion Compendium.
