Baldur’s Gate 3 – How to Romance Wyll

Wyll is a Warlock bound by a pact with a devil who trades supernatural abilities and magic in exchange for his soul. He regrets the choice. This character has high moral ethics, so you will have a harder time gaining his approval. How to Raise Approval with Wyll - BG3 The ability to romance Wyll requires a high approval rating with the character. Like any companion you want to gain favor with, you should always have him in the party with you during your adventures, as it gives you the most opportunities to check his current opinion. Approval Up with Wyll Here are several methods to raising approval with Wyll: Heroic acts - Perform heroic deeds like saving and rescuing people (such as the Tieflings) Taking Wyll's side - During conflicts of opinion, sticking by Wyll's side and reinforcing his beliefs Dislike or hatred towards monsters - Showing disrespect towards monsters, devils, and goblins Here are more specific ways to gain approval with Wyll: Helping Karlach during the "Hunt the Devil" quest Agreeing to help Zevlor Crushing the Tadpole outside of Druid Grove Approval Down with Wyll You cannot romance Wyll if he has a low approval rating with your character. If you want to make choices that would normally go against his wishes but still want to romance him, it helps to leave him at camp while going on these types of quests. Here are ways in which you can lose approval with Wyll: Taking Mizora's side - She is Wyll's patron, and if you take her side or go so far as to romance her, Wyll will disapprove of the player more Lying - Wyll will disapprove if he catches you being dishonest Entitlement/selfishness - Performing acts of selfishness does not sit well with Wyll Supporting monsters - Wyll despises monsters, devils, and goblins. Showing kindness or supporting these creatures will upset Wyll. Cruelty - If you are evil or hateful towards anything except creatures he dislikes, Wyll will disapprove Aiding Minthara - Wyll wants to save the Tieflings, so if the player helps Minthara, Wyll may go as far as to leave the camp How to Romance Wyll - BG3 With a high enough approval rating, you will be able to romance Wyll. Act 1 In order to romance Wyll during Act 1, you must save the Tiefling Refugees, Halsin, and the Druid Grove. Next, the player must take a Long Rest. When you awaken, they will find the Tieflings celebrating. Speak to Wyll and choose either of the two following dialogue options: "I want to dance with you" OR "Can't you tell why I really followed you out there" After this is done, you need to complete a Persuasion check. If successful, Wyll kisses you. If the player fails, Wyll simply says "There will be another time for us." Act 2 At a random moment in time during a Long Rest at night, you will find Wyll dancing. Speak to him after, and pick any of the following dialogue options: "Nice form. Where'd you learn to dance like that?" OR "Stay quiet and watch Wyll dance" "A new partner? And who might that be" OR "Trust me. I don't think you could fail anyone if you tried." "Smile and bow" You will then need to complete a Skill Check of your choice. If successful, you will either: "Take a bow" "Smile nervously" If you fail the Skill Check, you will either: "You're a beautiful dancer. I'm sure you'll teach me in no time." "Smile in embarrassment" Wyll will then invite you to dance more intimately. During this, the player must pick one of the following options: "President your lips against Wyll's" OR "Invite him with a knowing look - it's what you both want." Following with: “I was hoping we might spend the night… together” OR “Move in for another kiss.” Act 3 To progress in Act 3, you have to finish with Duke Ravengard and learn about the Tale of Ansur. After taking a Long Rest, Wyll will speak with you. Choose anything for the first dialogue option, then for the second, choose one of the following: "Smile and take Wyll's hand" "All right. But this better be worth it." Wyll then guides you to Wilden Oak, and you must choose one of the following options: "Enjoy the view" "Enjoy Wyll's company" Next, Wyll will propose to you with an acorn. Choose any of the following dialogue options: "Yes, yes, yes!" "Take the acorn and nod." Then, one of these: "Join Wyll in the grass. Give yourself to him completely." "It's about time. Let's see what the Blade can do with his weapon." This leads to a successful romance with Wyll.
