Unlockables
Andre the Giant
You can unlock Andre the Giant in one of 2 ways.
- Eliminate him in Survival Mode (he is the last person to come out).
- In Championship Mode, win every match in the 2nd part of the WWF Title Mode. You will face Andre in the final match, and he unlocks after defeating him.
Cactus Jack
Play the Hardcore Championship Mode and win all matches. In the end, Cactus comes out to fight you. Defeat him to unlock the wrestler.
Debra
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Terri and press C-RIGHT or C-LEFT.
Earl Hebner
You can unlock Earl Hebner, the WWF senior referee, in one of 2 ways.
- Purchase him in the SmackDown Mall for $10,000.
- In Championship Mode, start a new WWF Title Career and win your first match, be one of the first 20 eliminated in the Royal Rumble, and then win the rest of your matches.
Fabulous Moolah
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Mae Young (after unlocking her), and press C-RIGHT or C-LEFT.
Funaki
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Taka (after unlocking her), and press LEFT or C-RIGHT.
Goodfather
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Godfather and press C-LEFT or C-RIGHT.
Ho
Purchase her in the SmackDown Mall for $500,000.
Howard Finkel
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Earl and press C-RIGHT once or press C-LEFT three times.
Jaqueline
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Ivory, and press C-RIGHT or C-LEFT.
Jerry “The King” Lawler
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Jim Ross (after unlocking him), then press C-LEFT or C-RIGHT.
Ken Shamrock
You can unlock Ken Shamrock in one of 2 ways.
- Eliminate him in Survival Mode.
- Purchase him in the SmackDown Mall for $50,000.
Linda McMahon
In Championship Mode, start off as a new contender. Win the first match, then win the Royal Rumble. Win all matches up to the Fatal 4 Way at Wrestlemania. Lose the Fatal 4 Way, then win the next match. In the final chapter, Linda will come out and make an announcement. She is now unlocked.
Mae Young
Eliminate either Mae Young or Fabulous Moolah in Survival Mode, as both wrestlers share the same slot. Mae Young is costumes 1 and 3, Fabulous Moolah is costumes 2 and 4.
Mick Foley
You can unlock Mick Foley in one of 2 ways.
- Eliminate him in Survival Mode.
- In Championship Mode, as a new contender, win all matches, including the Royal Rumble and the Wrestlemania Fatal 4 Way.
Michael Cole
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Earl Hebner (after he is unlocked), then press C-LEFT 3 times or C-RIGHT 3 times.
Paul Bearer
On the Wrestler selection screen, highlight Earl Hebner (after he is unlocked), then press C-LEFT twice or C-RIGHT twice.
Shane McMahon
You can unlock Shane McMahon in one of 2 ways.
- Eliminate him in Survival Mode.
- Complete the Intercontinental Championship Mode by having the last match between Vince and Shane.
Shawn Michaels
You can unlock Shawn Michaels in one of 3 ways.
- Purchase him in the SmackDown Mall for $50,000.
- Eliminate him in Survival Mode.
- In Championship Mode, win all matches up to the 9th chapter. Lose this match, then face Shawn for the Championship. He unlocks after this match.
Vince McMahon
You can unlock Vince McMahon, the owner of the WWF, in one of 2 ways.
- Eliminate him in Survival Mode.
- In Championship Mode, win your first match, then allow yourself to be eliminated in the Royal Rumble after 20 other contestants have been taken out. This starts a feud with McMahon (shades of 1999). Win the rest of the matches, and he unlocks.
Tips & Tricks
Infinite Continues
Save the game before a match in championship mode. Exit the match when you only have one continue remaining. Turn off the game and reload your saved game to start again with the maximum number of continues.
Get More Weapons
When you have already picked four weapons from the crowd and cannot get any more, stand next to the barricade where you get the weapons from. Use the D-pad to position your wrestler against the barricade and press C-LEFT to ”exchange” your current weapon(s) for other weapons.
Manager Assistance
Start a single match, then hold C-Up + C-Down + Z on controller three if your wrestler is player one to have a third player control your manager. Hold C-Up + C-Down + Z on controller four if your wrestler is player two to have a fourth player control your manager.
Reset Game
Hold Start and turn on the Nintendo 64. The game will reset and start over with no extra wrestlers unlocked. Note: This will also erase your created wrestlers from the internal save on the game pak.
Cheats
The game is enjoyable by itself, but cheating makes it even better. Always keep in mind to input codes with a GameShark. You must have a 3.0 or higher version. All the below codes are compatible with most emulators.
