World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, the 9th expansion to the most successful MMO in history, is releasing on November 28, 2022, according to an announcement from Blizzard. Dragonflight returns heroes to the planet Azeroth in the region of the Dragon Isles.

It introduces a brand new hero class known as the Evoker, a new playable race known as the Dracthyr, dragon mounts, and deeper customizations. Like the Pandaren from Mists of Pandaria, Dracthyr can choose to align with either the Horde or the Alliance,

After the major stat squish implemented during Shadowlands, WoW: Dragonflight raises the level cap to 70. It will also see a full rework of talents with two dividing branches and the general user interface.

Furthermore, it will completely revamp the profession system of the game, letting players put in work orders as commissions to create specific mats.

While recent forms of character progression in the form of Azerite Armor and Artifact Weapons will not be seeing a return, popular game modes like Mythic+ will be returning. Blizzard has also confirmed that the first raid, Vault of the Incarnates, will drop during the week of December 12.

Ahead of the expansion’s arrival, Blizzard is also delivering another XP boost event. Beginning October 4 until the pre-patch (date currently unknown), every player will be granted the buff known as Winds of Wisdom. This provides a 50% increase in XP.

A new threat awaits players, and the mythical Dragon Aspects will be the front and center of the game’s plot.
