At The Game Awards 2023, Square Enix announced Visions of Mana, the first mainline entry in the series in more than 15 years.
Mana, which started with Final Fantasy Adventure on the Game Boy, is a franchise of high fantasy action role-playing games. It dropped Final Fantasy from the series name with the second entry, Secret of Mana, which ended up becoming the most popular to date.
The trailer for Visions of Mana showed off an open-world environment with the main character fighting enemies, using bubbles to traverse, casting spells, and slashing massive monsters with allies.
Mana has been a core franchise for Square Enix alongside Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest for decades. Collection of Mana allows you to enjoy the first 3 entries as remasters on Nintendo Switch. Visions of Mana is currently scheduled to be released in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4.
