But what exactly are visions?

In the popular otome adventure game by miHoYo, developer of the award-winning Genshin Impact, players will frequently collect tear drops which are acquired by Lady Themis while in practice as a junior attorney in Stellis City’s Themis Law Firm.

Exchanging these rewards will grant the players visions, which manifest in the form of Character Cards; tools that are essential to win debates and progress the game’s storylines.

How do Character Cards work?

The Character Cards resemble the four leading male characters and come in 3 tiers, which include:

  • SSR (Super Super Rare)
  • SR (Super Rare)
  • R (Rare)

One reward will grant players a single vision or these players can trade up to 10 rewards for 10 visions. However, the more that is spent with each draw, the more that you’ll be guaranteed a higher chance to draw SSR and SR Character Cards.

It’s important to note that every new player will receive one guaranteed SSR Card within the span of their first 30 visions. Once this card is collected, the guarantee count resets to 100. A single SR card is guaranteed within 10 visions and reset upon the first draw of a new SR card.

Shadows of Themis

This feature includes the game’s gacha banners, where each one has a pool of visions containing Character Cards, all with unique pity counts. Probability shows drop rates as well as the availability of visions.

You can try either 1 or 10 visions at a time. A single vision will cost 1 Tears of Themis to draw, and 10 visions cost 10 Tears of Themis.

If you fail to have enough Tears, a request will prompt the player to exchange 180 S-Chips for 1 Tear. If you fail to have enough S-Chips, 10 S-Chips can be acquired from the conversion of 1 Gem. It isn’t recommended to convert S-Chips to Tears before a pull.

Limited Events require Special Tears on a timed discount prior to reverting back to the original exchange rate.

Players have yet another opportunity to acquire visions from Shadows of Themis in which they can buy Mall packs with either in-game or premium currency in events that are either Rotating, Exclusive, or Permanent.

The Pity system

The total number of draws to guarantee a SR or SSR vision is defined as the pity rate. In every draw, there is a guarantee than a vision greater than or equal to SR will appear after 10 draws while SSR visions will show up in the first 100.

A particular exception includes the Permanent Shadow of Themis in which players start with 30 pity to ensure they will definitely receive at least 1 SSR. Once this process is complete, the Permanent banner returns to a level of 100 pity for the next SSR. The probability is shown above the draw buttons for the vision.

Types of Shadows of Themis

Permanent: The player will begin the game with 65 visions in the largest pool available. An SSR card is guaranteed in the span of 100 draws, while SR or above is certain within the first 10 draws.

Although there are no rate-ups featured, the Permanent banner contains character-exclusive visions for sports.

The pity count in this banner is not shared with others.

Rotation: There is a limited rate-up of no more than 4 visions from a total pool of 48. This features 2 rate-up SSR cards and 2 rate-up SR cards.

Pity for SSR cards is favored towards new rate-ups in this category. If you either own all or none of the rate-up SSR cards, a single random SSR will be guaranteed within 100 pulls and then the pity system resets.
