At Comic-Con 2023, the prequel series to John Wick, The Continental, was announced to release on September 22.
In the John Wick franchise, The Continental Hotel is a temporary sanctuary where any assassin, even if in the midst of a conflict with someone right next to them, can relax between missions. The location in New York is run by Winston (Ian McShan), who has served as a mentor to John in the movies.
With this new mini-series from Peacock from Albert Hughes (The Book of Eli, Dead Presidents), fans will now get a glimpse of the early days of the iconic hotel and the character of Winston.
The Continental was first announced in April 2021, and fans got a tease of the series earlier this year with vague details. While the first episode premieres on September 22, the show will air new episodes on a weekly basis. It will conclude with a finale in the third week.

Although there is still much speculation, the show will focus on Winston making the hotel his own. The teaser shows off a brief sequence of past killers that stayed at the property with a quick glimpse of a younger Winston played by Colin Woodell.
The Continental represents the first official spin-off for John Wick, and fans also have Ballerina (Ana de Armas) hitting theaters in the summer of 2024.
