Like many popular series, it has an eclectic collection of spin-off games with unique mechanics and genres of their own. Several of these titles have remastered versions, which are usually the most ideal to play. Here is our list of the best Final Fantasy spin-off games.

Adventures of Mana

The iconic Mana series as we know it actually started as a spin-off title called Final Fantasy Adventure, also known as Final Fantasy Mystic Quest in Europe.

This action-adventure RPG features mechanics very similar to titles in The Legend of Zelda series, including a top-down view as the player traverses the world filled with a variety of weapons, monsters, dungeons, and puzzles. Remade in 2016, the game was renamed to Adventures of Mana and released on iOS, Android, and PlayStation Vita, making it the most ideal version to play.

Note: This is the only title in the Mana series to be part of Final Fantasy, as it charted its own path, narrative, worlds, and characters starting with Secret of Mana (1993).
