In its most recent financial report, Korean developer Shift Up seemingly confirms that Stellar Blade will be receiving a PC release soon.
Stellar Blade first launched in April 2024 as an exclusive to the PlayStation 5, and was met with overall positive reviews.
The studio behind Stellar Blade said it started considering” a PC version of Stellar Blade back in May, and now in August it has apparently decided to make a go for it.
In its Q2 2024 financial report, the studio said “to continue the excitement of the ‘Stellar Blade’ IP, we are preparing for its release on PC in the near future, and we expect better results on PC than on consoles.”
The expectation of “better results on PC” is quite interesting. Furthermore, Shift Up claimed that Stellar Blade sold over 1 million copies within two months of its PS5 release, but sales have declined since despite proceeding “steadily.”
Even though this does not confirm whether or not Shift Up believes Stellar Blade will sell better on PC than PS5, there is clearly interest in the title being on the world’s largest platform and a PC release tends to always generate a meaningful uptick.
