This year’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS) has Valve finally showing off the rumored and unreleased dock for the Steam Deck.
Will the Steam Deck have a dock?

While the official page on Steam mentions a docking station and invites players to add the product to their wishlist, Valve has kept quiet during the Steam Deck’s delayed shipping process.
Back in June, Valve made it clear that the docking stations would take even longer to arrive than the Steam Deck itself due to part shortages in the global supply chain from COVID-19.
Multiple witnesses have shared photographic proof of the official Steam Deck Dock shown by Valve at TGS.
A look at the above leaked Reddit post falls in line with the updated specs from back in late February.

As of now, we know that the Steam Deck dock will include three ports for USB-A 3.1. It will also include HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports in addition to a Gigabit Ethernet jack.
According to the Bellevue-based developer:
“The Steam Deck Docking Station props up your Steam Deck while connecting to external displays, wired networking, USB peripherals, and power.”

Furthermore, a USB-C hub can be utilized if you have one available.
The Steam Deck has quickly become an extremely popular device, but while many are still waiting on shipments to arrive, consider purchasing alternative devices. Many of these have superior hardware and docking stations ready to go.
For any issues related to your Steam Deck, Valve has also taken measures to set up repair centers. Here, teams of hardware experts will diagnose, repair, and ship the fixed units back to owners.
