Just like most Bethesda games, you will quickly amass more loot than you can physically carry in Starfield. Fortunately, you can store items in the cargo hold on your ship to save space while walking around.
How to Store Items On Your Ship in Starfield
You can access the cargo hold to store items on your ship in one of three ways.
- Enter your ship, then open your Inventory from the menu screen. Access the cargo hold by pressing A or LB.
- Visit the ‘Ship’ screen in the bottom left corner of the menu.
- Visit your cockpit to access the cargo hold screen.
There is a mass limit to how much can be stored in the cargo hold on your ship, but you can expand this by purchasing ship upgrades.
Also, beware that storing contraband items in the cargo hold can get you put in prison if you are discovered by security scans while landing.
