Players can purchase Rare Seed from the Traveling cart shop by interacting with the merchant.
It appears at Cindersap Forest, which is a location south of the Farm. Take the path near Marnie’s Ranch to quickly get there. It’s open from 6am to 8pm on Friday and Sunday.
It also appears at the Night Market from 5pm to 2am. It is closed Monday to Thursday as well as Saturday.

During the seasons of Spring and Summer, you can buy Rare Seed for 1000g. It can be sold for 200g a piece. If you visit the merchant during other seasons, the price of Rare Seed may decrease and cost between 600g and 1000g.

You can craft a Seed Maker after reaching Farming level 9. This recipe requires the following items:

- 1x Gold Bar
- 10x Coal
How to Use Rare Seed
When you sow a Rare Seed in the Fall season after it has been fully grown, you will receive a Sweet Gem Berry crop.
You can give it to Old Master Cannoli to obtain a Stardrop.
You can create White Turban with a Sweet Gem Berry and cloth using the Sewing Machine inside Emily’s house.
Should You Plant Rare Seed?
You should plant Rare Seed if you are on the hunt for Stardrop.
If your goal is to farm gold, then it’s better to plant Ancient Seeds, because they yield Ancient Fruit after 28 days, which regrows after harvest every 7 days.
