Star Wars: Tales of the Empire was recently announced and is a new six-part animated anthology that serves as a counterpart to Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. A trailer and key art reveal details.
This series explores the untold events of the Galactic Empire through the eyes of Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth and ex-Jedi Barriss Offee. The two warriors, on different paths, show Elsbeth navigating the expanding Imperial world through revenge, while Offee fights to survive in a rapidly changing galaxy. Their choices define their destinies.
Other popular characters featured in the trailer include Thrawn, the Fourth Sister, General Grievous, Darth Vader, the Grand Inquisitor, and more familiar faces.
Key cast members include Diana Lee Inosanto (Morgan Elsbeth), Meredith Salenger (Barriss Offee), Rya Kihlstedt (Lyn, aka Fourth Sister), Wing T. Chao (Wing), Lars Mikkelsen (Thrawn), Jason Isaacs (Grand Inquisitor) and Matthew Wood (General Grievous).
The series is created by Dave Filoni, the executive producer and supervising director in addition to Athena Yvette Portillo and Carrie Beck. Josh Rimes is the co-executive producer with Alex Spotswood serving as the senior producer.
Star Wars: Tales of the Empire arrives on May 4, 2024, on Disney+.
