Ahsoka is now set to premiere on August 22 at 6:00 pm PT, up from its original date of August 23, complete with two episodes on Disney Plus. UK Viewers will be able to watch from 1:00 am GMT. New episodes of this new Star Wars live-action TV series will be available on Tuesdays going forward.

This series follows the titular character, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) through her investigation of a new galactic threat after the fall of the Empire. This news arrives after the most recent trailer which teases the return of Tano’s master, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen).

Fans will get to see new and returning faces as well, including Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson), Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), David Tennant (Huyang), Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma), Eman Esfandi (Ezra Bridger), and Lars Mikkelsen (Grand Admiral Thrawn).

Dawson recently told fans that she took inspiration for her portrayal of Ahoska from Gandalf in Lord of the Rings.

“Dave [Filioni, the show’s creator] and I talked a lot about Gandalf the Gray and Gandalf the White — talking about that transition and how she’s someone very capable and excellent and looked up to as a leader, but she still has levels of development to go.”
