How to Change and Unequip Weapons in SotF
Unlike the previous game, Sons of the Forest does not provide players with a hotkey bar to switch weapons on the fly. However, you can still do cycle through weapons without opening the full inventory. To change weapons fast in Sons of the Forest:
- Press ‘T‘ to open your inventory.
- Right-click on the backpack icon in the top right.
- Right-click the two weapons you wish to switch between. This will add them to the quick slot.
- Hold ‘I‘ and select the weapon you want to access from the quick slot.
In addition to weapons, the backpack can store food, medicine, and various other important materials. To unequip a weapon you currently have equipped, press ‘G‘ to holster it.
