SEGA’s latest entry to feature the blue blur, Sonic Frontiers, takes the series in a new direction with fully open-world gameplay.
The Japanese developer took into account significant feedback from various focus groups while creating the game, and it intends to continue the trend in the future.
Several tweets from game director Morio Kishimoto mentioned how Sonic Team is taking constructive criticism into account for the series going forward. He believes that the game “still has a long way to go” and would go on to reach “greater heights” to challenge itself.
Still, SEGA has been very appreciative of the support coming in for the new 3D Sonic game and for being by his side every step of the way.

Despite comments on repetitive gameplay and tiresome bosses, Sonic Frontiers sets a perfect foundation for all future titles. It offers unlimited potential, with plenty of room for DLC or even live-content updates giving you reasons to play every single day. Like all previous titles, it also has a killer soundtrack.
