Since it was announced that both Shrek 5 and Toy Story 5 would be released at some point in 2026, fans of the big green ogre from the swamp can now celebrate the drop of a new teaser. This Shrek 5 trailer confirms the main cast, and it reveals the return of Mike Meyers (Shrek), Cameron Diaz (Fiona), Eddie Murphy (Donkey), and the debut of Zendaya as Shrek’s daughter.
All the characters have had their appearances redesigned for the upcoming animated film by DreamWorks, which has some fans shaken up.

However, the story is meant to be a time jump to follow an older Shrek, Fiona and Donkey. If Zendaya’s character is say, 15, that would mean they’ve aged a bit and may look different. Regardless, it will be a love letter to those who grew up with the franchise.
