SEGA has announced Sonic Dream Team, a new 3D game featuring the blue blur and friends. It will be released exclusively for Apple Arcade on December 5, 2023.
This title represents Sonic with the gameplay and features seen in the NiGHTS series. The plot has Dr. Eggman discovering an ancient device known as The Reverie, which has the power to manifest dreams in real life. Of course, Eggman wants it to achieve his vision of world domination.
With the setting transformed into a twisted dream landscape, Sonic and his friends race to stop Eggman from seeing his dark visions turned into reality.
Sonic Dream Team has you controlling Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, and Cream. All of the characters have unique abilities with three different movement types and must navigate 12 levels within four dream worlds with mind-bending environments that include gravity elements and wall-running.
Each of the various dream worlds contains a boss fight that tests your skills with the different movement types.
Ariem is a brand new character introduced to the series with Sonic Dream Team. She’s a ram named after Aries (Zodiac sign), with a moon tattoo on her forehead who may aid Sonic and his friends in achieving their goals.
Sonic Dream Team represents the second Sonic title to arrive on Apple Arcade after Sonic Dash+ and Sonic Racing. What’s more, it’s the fifth SEGA title to come out for the subscription service after Football Manager 2023 and Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go.
