A new online age rating has potentially leaked a re-release of the original Red Dead Redemption.
In a report by Gematsu, Korea’s Game Rating and Administration published a new rating for the popular western title on June 15. This rating, under the number CC-NV-230615-001 includes the abbreviation “NV”, which is a reference to console games.
If a game as old as Red Dead Redemption is being flagged this year for a new rating, there is a very high probability that Rockstar is planning remasters for modern systems.
Red Dead Redemption is an open-world action-adventure game set during the final years of the American Frontier. It originally released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Despite being one of the greatest works in Rockstar’s library, the developer has not ported it to any other system, including PC.
The good news is that fans who don’t want to wait can enjoy the game as it first came out with upscaled graphics and textures on modern systems via backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. While it was previously accessible through PlayStation Plus streaming, it was removed late last year.
