Rockstar’s open-world western epic, Red Dead Redemption, and its DLC counterpart, Undead Nightmare, will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on August 17. Unfortunately, no word on a PC port just yet.
Red Dead Redemption originally came out back in 2010 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Undead Nightmare, the DLC, was released just a few months later that same year.
Despite the game being one of the most critically acclaimed titles in Rockstar’s library, it never received a port to any modern system nor did it get a remaster. Granted, it has been available via backwards compatibility through Xbox Game Pass. Furthermore, it was briefly available via PlayStation Now over streaming.

The sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2, was released for two generations of systems and also released on PC, complete with ongoing updates for its multiplayer experience known as Red Dead Online.
Physical releases of the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 ports of Red Dead Redemption will arrive on October 13 and cost $50. These are direct ports that will include the base game and the DLC.
