In this guide, you will learn how to farm Blueberry Points (BP) while playing the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
What is BP used for?
As a trainer, you must accumulate BP to access the Elite Trials, which serve as a core part of the story progression throughout the content update.
BP also helps you invite new mons onto the map, summon special coaches and powerful trainers, and purchase powerful items for your team. Certain Legendary Pokémon are tied to the quests connected to BP as well.
By spending BP on League Club quests, you can summon Pokémon into the four biomes near Blueberry Academy. You can also use it to enhance the biodiversity of the zones to cause starter Pokémon to spawn as well.
To unlock the most essential parts of the Indigo Disk DLC, you will need to have accumulated about 16,600 BP.
How to Farm BP
You can accumulate BP in the Indigo Disk DLC by completing virtually any activity. Here are the best farming methods.
Union Circle Blueberry Quests
The fastest way to farm BP in the Indigo Disk DLC is via Union Circle multiplayer. This allows you to combine BP quests with every friend that joins, and by splitting the objectives between players, you can quickly amass 10-30 BP for each goal as they are completed together.
When you or your friends complete 10 BP quests, an optional red BP quest will be available, granting more points than regular missions upon completion (about 100 BP or more). Because of this major reward, Union Circle BBQ farming is the fastest way to earn BP.
Defeat Trainers
The main method for farming BP in the Indigo Disk DLC as a solo player is to battle NPC trainers that populate the biomes. Once you have defeated a certain number of them in an area, visit the local Rest Stop and receive BP as a reward for your efforts.
Note that you can only battle each of the trainers once, so this option will only allow you to amass so much BP.
Flying Minigame
After completing Amarys’ Trial once, you will unlock the Flying Minigame. Simply speak to the receptionist in the Canyon Plaza and complete a flying course to acquire BP.
There are four courses in total, each with varying difficulty. The harder the challenge, the greater the BP reward. They are as follows:
- Easy Course (50 BP)
- Normal Course (100 BP)
- Hard Course (200 BP)
- Super-Hard Course (500 BP)
The Indigo Disk DLC allows trainers to upgrade their game version’s Legendary Pokémon (either Koraidon or Miraidon) to be able to fly through the air continuously rather than simply glide. There is a flying minigame that comes with this feature which helps with BP farming.
Unlocking flying requires you to meet Amarys, a BB League Elite Four member, and complete her time trial. Next, you will need to complete the campaign of the Indigo Disk DLC. Finally, return to Blueberry Academy and return to Classroom 3-2 and speak to Amarys once more.
Amarys will thank you for your efforts and permanently unlock flying for the trainer.
Solo Blueberry Quests
As soon as BP is introduced to the player, Solo Blueberry Quests become available to farm BP. It is a great method, but the rewards are small for the time spent.
However, just like with Union Circle BBQ farming, when you complete 10 BP quests as a solo player, an optional red BP quest will be available, granting more points than regular missions upon completion (about 100 BP or more).
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are role-playing games developed by Game Freak and released in 2022 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
