The Covert Cloak is a Held Item that protects your Pokémon from the additional effects of moves. Meaning, if you get hit from Blaze Kick, your mon’s HP will lower but they will not suffer the Burn effect.
How to Get the Covert Cloak in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Players can acquire the Covert Cloak in two different ways.
The first method to acquire the Covert Cloak is to visit the Delibird Presents Shop in Levincia, Eastern Province. It is located to the North of the town. Enter the shop and select Battle Items. You can purchase the Covert Cloak for 20,000 Poke Dollars.
To second method to acquire the Covert Cloak is to visit Montenevera Town in the Northern part of Paldea. Once you reach there, head for the Pokémon Center. Then, go to the west of the Center behind the Houses. There, you will see a glowing Pokeball on the ground next to a tree. Pick it up to get the cloak for free.
How to Use the Covert Cloak in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Once you get the Covert Cloak, you can hand it to any Pokémon in your party. This will ensure you do not miss a turn or suffer damage every round from a Status Effect.
Keep in mind that equipping the Covert Cloak will not protect your Poagainst moves solely based on Status Effects like Grass Whistle. Nonetheless, this item affects your opponent’s moves giving you an edge.
