As with all previous games, there are three cute creatures representing the three fundamental types that are a staple of the series for you to choose from shortly after you start the experience. These include Fire, Grass, and Water.
Whichever of the starter Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet that you decide on, Nemona, your rival, will opt for the one weak to it. This means if you choose Fuecoco, you will regularly battle against Sprigatito, as grass is weak to fire.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet released worldwide on November 18, 2022, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
