The Hisui region brings a ton of brand-new characters to the Pokémon franchise. Every person’s outfit matches the ancient theme and makes for stellar cosplay ideas. Here is a master list of all major characters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, organized by affiliation and residence.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
Galaxy Expedition Team
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you, the player, drop into the world from another time and soon join the Galaxy Expedition Team to explore the region and complete the Pokedex. It consists of various corps under the leadership of Commander Kamado.
Akari and Rei
Akari and Rei represent the player and rival characters, respectively, based on the gender chosen at the start of the experience. If you choose Akari, you will challenge Rei. Conversely, if you choose Rei, you will challenge Akari.
Regardless, both are members of the Survey Corps as part of the Galaxy Expedition team.
Professor Laventon
Laventon is the Hisui region’s official Pokémon Professor and is a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team. He dons the classic white lab coat while studying various species of Pokémon.

The majority of professors in Pokémon games to date are named after trees, including Oak and Elm. There is a good chance that Laventon is named after Lavender trees.
Captain Cyllene
Captain Cyllene leads the Survey Corps division of the Galaxy Expedition Team and appears similar to Team Galactic head Cyrus in modern-day Sinnoh. The relationship is unknown if it exists.
Commander Kamado
Commander Kamado is the trustworthy though the harsh leader of the Galaxy Expedition Team and an ancestor of Professor Rowan, whom you meet in modern-day Sinnoh.

He will send you off on various survey missions to study the Pokémon inhabiting the Hisui region.
Diamond Clan
The Diamond Clan is one of the numerous organizations in the Hisui region, worshipping the deity “almighty Sinnoh” who created time. They tend to be at odds with their rivals, the Pearl Clan, who worship the “almighty Sinnoh” that created space.
Adaman
Adaman is the head of the Diamond Clan and directly opposes Irida, who leads the Pearl Clan. His partner Pokémon is Leafeon, the grass evolution of Eevee. He is a daring man who greatly dislikes wasting time and moves forward without much worry about the particulars.
Iscan
Iscan is one of the Diamond Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, he wears a blue uniform with the symbol of the clan in front. He gets scared quite easily, being particularly afraid of Ghost-type Pokémon to the point where he doesn’t even want to utter their names.
Arezu
Arezu is one of the Diamond Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, she wears a blue uniform with the symbol of the clan in front. She aims to dedicate her responsibilities to solving every problem she encounters on her own.
Her design bears a striking resemblance to Commander Mars in modern-day Sinnoh, yet there is no confirmed correlation between the two.
Mai
Mai is one of the Diamond Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, she wears a blue uniform with the symbol of the clan in front. She initially challenges you to a Pokémon battle to prove your worth as a trainer.
Melli
Melli is one of the Diamond Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, he wears a blue uniform with the symbol of the clan in front. You first meet him in the Galaxy Team Headquarters.
Sabi
Sabi is one of the Diamond Clan’s youngest wardens. In addition to the traditional uniform, she wears mittens to match the cold climate of the Alabaster Icelands.
Pearl Clan
The Pearl Clan is one of the numerous organizations in the Hisui region, worshipping the deity “almighty Sinnoh” who created space. They tend to be at odds with their rivals, the Diamond Clan, who worship the “almighty Sinnoh” that created time.
Irida
Irida is the head of the Pearl Clan and directly opposes Adaman, who leads the Diamond Clan. Her partner Pokémon is Glaceon, the ice evolution of Eevee. She faces the challenges of the Hisui region with courage. Although she doesn’t quite trust you initially, she eventually warms up.
Lian
Lian is one of the Pearl Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, he wears a pink and white uniform with the symbol of the clan in front. His hat is comparable to Clay from Pokémon Black and White.
Calaba
Lian is one of the Pearl Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, she wears a pink and white uniform with the symbol of the clan in front. Calaba carries a big plant over her back and is assigned to watch over Ursaluna, one of the Noble Pokémon.
Palina
Palina is one of the Pearl Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, she wears a pink and white uniform with the symbol of the clan in front, along with a pair of goggles. She watches over Arcanine, the former Lord of the Isles, and its child.
Ingo
Palina is one of the Pearl Clan’s wardens. Similar to other members, he wears a pink and white uniform with the symbol of the clan in front. In addition, he wears a blue cap and trench coat. He watches over Sneasler.
Gaeric
Gaeric is one of the Pearl Clan’s wardens. He is tasked with watching over the Noble Pokémon Avalugg, Lord of the Tundra.
Ginkgo Guild
Ginter
Ginter leads the Gingko Guild. Although he may not appear enthusiastic, he is a strong leader that keeps the organization together.
Furthermore, he is a vendor of various rare items, including evolution items, Max Revives, Honey Cakes, and Ultra Balls.
Volo
Volo is one of the merchants representing the Ginkgo Guild. Similar to other members, he wears blue and yellow clothing. He is quite curious and always interested in the unusual.
There is a good chance that you, as a player, will cross paths with him wherever you go.
Ancient Retreat Residents
Cogita
You will meet the mysterious Cogita near the conclusion of the main story. She has close ties to Volo, with much knowledge regarding the myths and legends of the Hisui region.
She bears a striking resemblance to Cynthia of modern-day Sinnoh, the Pokémon League Champion.
Jubilife Village Residents
Anthe
Anthe is the Clothier merchant. Speak to her to purchase new clothing, change your wardrobe, and get a whole new look for your trainer.
Anvin
Anvin is the shopkeeper of Craftworks, which allows you to purchase crafting materials and recipes necessary for your expeditions in the Hisui Region.
Belamy
Consult Belamy to view the Friendship level representing the bond between you and your individual Pokémon.
Beni
Beni is the village canteen and manages the Wallflower. He serves you Potato Mochi to celebrate successful missions for the Galaxy Expedition Team.
Bonn
Talk to Bonn to purchase a wide array of sweets, including Exp. Candies to power-level your Pokémon.
Choy
Choy is responsible for running the Jubilife Village General Store. His shop faces the Galaxy Team Headquarters. Use him to restock all supplies before heading out in the wild.
Colza
Colza is the farm supervisor and will help harvest various crops such as Berries, Mints, and Apricorns.
Dagero
Dagero is in charge of running the Photography Studio in Jubilife Village. Find him near the front gate.
Edith
Edith is the barber of Jubilife. She will give your character’s hair an entire makeover if you visit!
Lucille
Lucille resides close to the Training Grounds and is a vendor for Charms whose effects aid you in your exploration of the Hisui region.
Marie
Visit Marie to check on the Pokémon you’ve placed in the Pasture (breeding grounds) or edit your party setup. She resides south of the front gate in Jubilife Village.
Simona
Simona manages the Trading Post, which allows you to exchange Merit Points for various items, as well as trade with other players both locally and over the Internet.
Taggart
Taggart is found in the Practice Fields and is responsible for the Drifblim Minigame, which is unlocked during his sidequest.
Zisu
Zisu is the Security Corps Captain. She resides in the Training Grounds, allowing you to train your Pokémon.
