Palworld, like other creature-collecting games, has a rock/paper/scissors elemental strengths and weaknesses system. Here’s the type chart.
If you use the correct types of moves against certain Pals, they will take more damage than if you use other types of moves. For example, just like in Pokémon, using fire-type moves against Grass-type pals will deal additional damage. Conversely, using grass-type moves against Fire-type pals will deal less damage.
Fortunately, in Palworld, elements do not have multiple weaknesses, which keeps things simple. Yet, Pals can still learn other moves, which means that if you have a fire-type Pal, you may be able to also use them for ground-type moves, and so on.
