A mobile version of the highly successful creature-collecting game Palworld is in development, with Krafton Inc., the company behind PUBG, working on a licensing deal with Pocketpair to make the game.
PUBG Studios is developing the mobile version of Palworld, but additional details were left out of the press release. Following the game’s release in January 2024, many scammers created fake versions of the game for mobile devices, prompting Pocketpair to warn fans to stay away.
The deal between Pocketpair and Krafton was announced very shortly after Nintendo sued Pocketpair over claims of patent infringement. Palworld had enormous success when launched on PC and Xbox earlier this year, and now there is also a PS5 version.
Mobile is the next step towards expanding the Palworld franchise, and Pocketpair is planning to partner with Sony to create a venture known as Palworld Entertainment which will handle other licensing, including merchandise. The first major expansion for Palworld,
