The Nintendo Switch has recently surpassed the PlayStation 2 to become the second best-selling console in the United States, trailing only the Nintendo DS.
This is according to Circana’s November video game sales report, stating that lifetime unit sales of the Nintendo Switch are now at 46.6 million. As of now, the Switch trails the Nintendo DS by more than 7 million units, so it’s likely not going to catch up any time soon.

In spite of this, hardware spending for the month of November fell flat, with 15% year-over-year growth for PlayStation hardware off-setting a 29% drop in Xbox Series sales and a 3% drop on Switch.
