NieR mobile game NieR: Reincarnation shuts down April 2024, says Square Enix.
NieR: Reincarnation is a 2021 free-to-play mobile role-playing game for Android and iOS devices that serves as a spin-off from the main series.
The story of NieR: Reincarnation concludes with the March 28 release of the Finale: Reincarnation update. Square Enix said the app service itself will go offline on April 29.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our players for your patronage over the 2.5 years since we launched on July 28, 2021.”
As of now, Square Enix said it will continue to produce characters and content, as well as hold events and campaigns, “so we hope you will continue to enjoy Nier Reincarnation until the end.”
NieR: Automata is turning seven years old soon, and although there has yet to be a new entry in the mainline series as of now, Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito said that they will be releasing a new entry for as long as chief Yoko Taro is alive.
Automata received an official anime adaptation, Ver1.1a, in 2023.
