Unlockables

Boss Fights

Ermac

Inside of the warrior’s shrine featuring statues of characters from Mortal Kombat, interact with the left most statue three times to encounter Ermac.

Kano

Just before reaching Shao Khan’s throne, you will see Johnny Cage and Kitana inside of cells. Speak to Kitana three times to encounter Kano.

Mileena

First, acquire the climb and swing ability. Then, visit the living forest. Grab one of the two branches near the save point and start jumping towards the temple. Climb up to a new area with a jagged path containing masked guards and corpses. Find a purple portal at the end of the path with Mileena and two guards.

Characters

Baraka

In the Soul Tomb portal, visit the spot where you can wall climb. You will see 2 paths. Break the statue on the right path with the Fist of Ruin. Continue and long jump across the gap.

Johnny Cage

In the Wu’Shi Academy, go to the right side of the gate, jumping onto the roof of the house. Proceed right and jump to the new platform with a boulder blocking your way.

Kitana

In the Mortal Kombat II arena level, just before the portal, you will see several pillars. Jump on the one that is half broken then go up to the roof.

Noob Saibot

In Versus Mode, have both players pick Sub-Zero. Player 2 will transform into Noob Saibot.

Reptile

In the Living Forest, visit the section after the Brotherhood of Shadow. Long jump across the gap containing the tiny waterfall. Proceed through the door. Destroy the shield to make the statues come to life. Get one of the statues over to the giant stone column on the opposite side of the stream, right where you entered. Throw the statue towards it, and it will come crashing down. Return to where the waterfall was, and you can claim Reptile.

Scorpion

In the Foundry, follow the path downstairs to the left of the save shrine. Two archers will appear. Throw one at the wall to the left of the doorway and it will break open, revealing a secret room containing lava and a ying yang sign on the ledge. Throw another one of the archers into the lava. Jump on his back to claim Scorpion.

Mortal Kombat II

You must find and complete all mini-missions given by Smoke.

  1. Break Walls in the Soul Tombs to reveal a secret fatality. This is is an area with spikes on the ceiling and about 6 Tarkata in the room. You can see out on the far side of the room and you need to break the four center sections of the wall.
  2. Destroy a statue in Wu’Shui academy and enter the Warrior Shrine. The Warrior Shrine is at the VERY start of the Wu’Shui area.
  3. Offer 3 Sacrifices in the Sacrifice Room in Soul Tombs. You need to go through the room that doesn’t have a green or red symbol above it and then do air throws to get the Tarkatas into the spiked areas.
  4. To unlock the Portal, find all Purple Portals and throw an enemy into each one. There are only 2 portals to throw mobs into. One is near the Evil Monastery and one is at the lower level near the climbing spot.
  5. To unlock the Pit II, enter the Portal and survive in the frozen peaks. After you enter the portal you just need to keep killing the guys that show up until it says you’ve won. We found that tossing them off the side seemed to prove quite useful and then just killing one when you need to recharge your life a bit.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is an action-adventure beat ’em up game developed by Midway Games and initially released worldwide in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
