What does the Respiration Enchantment do in Minecraft?
Enchantments are great for adding certain buffs to your armor and weapons. Respiration is considered one of the best helmet Enchantments in the game and provides Underwater Breathing for a short period of time.
Specifically, the Respiration Enchantment will provide Underwater Breathing for 15 seconds per level of Respiration. If your helmet has level III Respiration, you will have 45 seconds of Underwater Breathing over the base time of 15 seconds.
You need an Enchanting Table to apply the Respiration Enchantment to your helmet. Below are the following materials necessary:
- Helmet (any quality)
- Lapis Lazuli
- Experience Points
To enchant the helmet after acquiring the materials, place it in the left slot of the Enchanting Table, then click the “Enchant” button.
