Marvel Snap Will Allow You To Pull Specific Cards

Marvel Snap is one of the better card-battling games around, but one particular complaint that arises time and again is the fact that you cannot acquire specific cards you may be missing from your deck. This is particularly painful if you’re only one card short of a full collection. In response, developer Second Dinner has plans to address these issues in an upcoming patch.

At the moment, players acquire cards by upgrading their Collection Rank. However, past 500, getting new cards becomes increasingly inconsistent since they arrive in caches that contain other items such as credits or boosters. Furthermore, there are so many cards in the pool that when cards do unlock, they likely won’t be the ones you need.

The next update to Marvel Snap is seeing the addition of Collector’s Tokens, a currency you can acquire in caches rather than boosters. These tokens can be utilized to purchase cards directly from the Token Shop. The items in the selection rotate on an eight-hour basis, and if you see the card you desire to buy, you can track it in the shop while you farm the tokens necessary to purchase it.

Having a frequent card rotation means that you should find the card you are missing if you check in regularly.

Furthermore, the update will include two new card pools, also called series. Series 4 is planning to launch with 10 cards. These can be found while still seeking out Series 3 cards also, but they are 10 times rarer. Both are targetable in the Token Shop.

Series 5, also known as the “Ultra Rare” pool, will only be launching with six cards, including Galactus and Thanos. While they can also be found in random pools, they are 10 times the rarity of Series 4 cards. Cards that are part of the Season Pass will get added to Season 5 once they have cycled out.

As time passes, several of the cards in Series 5 will pass down to Series 4 and from Series 4 down to Series 3. Timing has not been agreed upon quite yet by the team, but the goal is for it to take a minimum of a few months.

Collector’s Caches have a 25% probability of dropping a total of 100 Tokens. After acquiring the full deck of Series 3 cards, you will receive a 22% chance to get 400 Tokens. Series 3 cards cost up to 1,000 tokens, Series 4 costs up to 3,000 tokens, and Series 5 will cost up to 6,000 tokens.

  • 500-999 Collection Level: 3,000 Tokens
  • 1,000-2,999 Collection Level: 6,000 Tokens
  • 3,000+ Collection Level: 12,000 Tokens

Marvel Snap is a digital card game that was released on October 18, 2022, for PC, iOS, and Android.
