Tips & Tricks Turbo Boost on Race Start At the start of a race, wait until immediately after the second light flashes, then hold A. This will give you a turbo boost on 'Go' and easily shoot you to first place. Turbo Boost After Lakitu Retrieval Anytime you get stuck or fall off the track for more than several seconds, Lakitu will arrive to pick you up and put you back to get you moving properly again. Wait until the moment you're dropped back on the track, then press A to get a turbo boost. Block Shells Obtain a Banana Peel, Red Shell, or Green Shell and use it behind you right before getting hit by a Red or Green Shell to protect your speed. Obtain a Bomb and use it behind you right before getting hit by a Blue Shell to protect your speed. Cheats The game is enjoyable by itself, but cheating makes it better.
