Kart Parts
By reaching a certain threshold in your Coin collection, you will continuously unlock a random kart/wheel/glider part. You can earn a maximum of 10 Coins per race.
You will get a new part every 50 Coins until you reach a total of 300. After this, you will get a new part every 100 Coins until you reach a total of 1000. After this, you will get a new part every 200 Coins until you reach a total of 2000. After this, you will get a new part every 500 Coins until you reach a grand total of 5000.
Gold Kart
Acquire a total of 20000 Coins. Alternatively, obtain a VR ranking of 10000 or more in online play.
Gold Glider
Acquire a total of 10000 Coins. Alternatively, StreetPass 100 people with Mario Kart 7.
Gold Wheels
Acquire a total of 15000 Coins. Alternatively, finish 1st place across all Grand Prix cups on all difficulty levels with a 1-star rating or higher.
Gold Steering Wheel
Play 100 recent matches and use the first-person gyro controls 80% of the time.
Tips & Tricks
Turbo Boost on Race Start
At the start of a race, wait until the second light flashes, then hold down on the gas. This will give you a turbo boost on ‘Go’ and easily shoot you to first place.
