The Ryu Ga Gotoku studio has announced the next spin-off of the incredibly popular Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) series. It’s called Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and releases February 28, 2025, barely a year after of the core entry release of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a spin-off that stars the eccentric, eyepatch-wearing protagonist Goro Majima, in a wild tale in which he crosses swords with a bunch of old-timey pirates from a place called Madlantis. Although this is not set in the present day, a plot involving Nele Island ties this game’s events into the events of Infinite Wealth, as Majima somehow ends up captain of a pirate galleon searching for lost treasure.
It offers flashy brawling combat in Majima’s wacky break-dancing style, the return of the delivery minigame from Infinite Wealth, a pirate queen, and a kid sidekick.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and is set to release in February 2025 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
