LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival Are Here To Stay

fortnite's three new games are here to stay

Epic Games confirmed that the three new game modes it recently introduced to Fortnite are here to stay and will get regular updates. These include LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.

The developer noted that “These games are displayed on the Fortnite home page as tiles next to Fortnite’s numerous other modes, so it’s understandable that some people might have thought they were in fact modes.”

In an additional post, former Fortnite boss Donald Mustard included an image showcasing Epic’s original plan for the game from about 6 years ago. The original intent was to make Fortnite a “place” instead of a game. Therefore, these new experiences serve as the beginning stages of that vision.

Although the plan “changed and evolved” many times, the intent was for things to take six years, and now players are experiencing the “TRUE vision of the dream of Fortnite.”

Over time, Fortnite has been offering additional game modes outside of the standard battle royale affair, including the content sandbox Creative as well as Survival. The scale of the game today is unprecedented, with over 7.6 million concurrent players across all game modes since the launch of the three new games.

Fortnite is a battle royale/survival/tower defense game developed by Epic Games and initially released worldwide in 2017 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. It was later ported to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
