Tips & Tricks
Avoid a Peace Maker
The Peace Maker weapon will destroy the racer in 1st place. To avoid getting hit by it, you will either need to have a Red Eco shield ready or allow yourself to fall into 2nd place before it arrives.
Look Behind You
Press TRIANGLE + SQUARE + CROSS to turn the camera around and see what is behind you.
Turbo Boost at Race Start
Just as the light turns green before the race begins, press CROSS (X) to give your driver a short boost and a filled-up turbo bar.
Best Vehicles For Each Challenge
There are six different types of challenges in Jak X: Combat Racing, including Artifact Race, Circuit Race, Death Race, Deathmatch, Freeze Rally, and Rush Hour. See the best vehicles for each challenge below:

Orb Farming
You will need orbs to purchase almost all unlockables in Jak X: Combat Racing, and even after you finish the game, you won’t have nearly enough. Although you can just keep playing in general, the best way to farm orbs is to:
- Go to Exhibition Mode.
- Choose Circuit Race as the Event.
- Choose Dethdrome as the Location.
- Disable Mirrored.
- Set CPUs to Maximum.
- Set Performance to Custom.
- Pick your preferred driver/vehicle.
- Go to Advanced Options.
- Set the number of laps to 1.
- Disable all pickups except the Super Nova only.
When the race begins, simply park yourself near one of the Yellow Eco power-ups just in front of the starting line. Keep grabbing the Super Nova and using it over and over to destroy the other racers.
Even though there’s only one lap, you will prevent the other racers from making it to the finish line by spamming them with Super Nova. You can repeat this indefinitely. Once you’ve had enough, simply drive the lap to finish the match.
Your orbs awarded will be in direct proportion to the number of kills, multiplied by 100. For example, in addition to orbs for placement, hang time, and power slide, getting 500 kills results in 50000 orbs.
Cheats
The game is enjoyable by itself, but cheating makes it even better. Always keep in mind to input codes with a Codebreaker. All the below codes are compatible with most emulators.
Note: before entering cheats, be aware that altering the game can cause random freezing and several other glitches.
