Krafton, the studio behind the industry blockbuster battle-royale title PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), is creating a full-fledged Sims competitor with Unreal Engine 5. The game is called InZoi, a hyper-realistic life simulation game.
InZoi was shown off at G-STAR 2023, an international gaming festival in Busan, South Korea. It has impeccable graphics and offers character creation, Build Mode, and a Director’s Mode in which you can manipulate NPC schedules, the weather, and the city. Filters can be applied to the in-game picture, as well.
This title is a new “self-developed” game from Krafton set to release in 2024, allowing players to “become gods” and change everything they wish to “experience endless new stories in various forms of life.”
The official marketing campaign blurb is as follows: “Do you have a life you’ve always dreamed of? Do you need a unique experience that blurs the line between reality and imagination? In InZoi you can freely control the world like a god and make your ideal life a reality. Also, rather than simply living the life given to you, you can become the protagonist who leads the life you want. It’s time to create your own story at InZoi, where infinite possibilities await!”
