Instagram Is Testing Verified-Only Feeds

Instagram is testing a toggle that filters your feed to only see posts from users who are Meta Verified, according to Adam Mosseri.

Mosseri wrote, “We’re exploring this as a new control for people and a way for businesses and creators to get discovered.”

This new Meta Verified toggle will show up as an option under “Following” and “Favorites” when you tap the Instagram logo at the top of the application. Mosseri’s post did not say how big the test is or the people who will be able to access it, but he did encourage people to let them know if they would be interested.

Meta Verified has been steadily rolling out since the beginning of 2023, starting in Australia and New Zealand in February, the United States in March, and soon, as announced in September, business accounts. Aside from enhanced security features, the biggest benefits to subscribing ($11.99/mo. on the web, $14.99/mo. on the app) include having a verified badge and greater access to support services. You can check it out now.
