Tips & Tricks
Super Start
At the start of any race, hold down on 3, hold up on 2, hold down on 1, then press up once the counter completes. Your boat will jump forward, granting you “Super Start” (Booster 4+ secs!).
Hydro Jump
Hold the throttle in reverse or brake with L-Trigger, then simultaneously press the Boost button. This causes your boat to Boost high into the air, and the jump’s height goes as long as you have Boost fuel.
The Hydro Jump is an effective technique necessary to reach shortcuts, clear obstacles, and obtain boosts.
Time Trial mode
Nintendo 64: On the main menu, press X + Y + B + Start. You will now play in Time Trial mode without any computer opponents.
Arcade: On the boat selection screen, hold the Low + Pilot view buttons and pull the throttle in reverse. You will now play in Time Trial mode without any computer opponents.
Cheats
The game is enjoyable by itself, but cheating makes it even better. Always keep in mind to input codes with a GameShark.
Note: before entering cheats, be aware that altering the game can cause random freezing and several other glitches.
