To make it easier to catch Lingcod, it is recommended that the player have a Fishing Level of 3 and use specific areas during the Winter Season.
Where to Catch Lingcod
Lingcod fish can be found in the River and Mountain Lake. Check the bodies of water in Pelican Town or Cindersap Forest.

With a sufficient fishing level, use your rod for a good chance to be able to get it during your first or second attempt. Consider fishing it for Willy in exchange for some coins.

On Wednesdays, there is a chance for Lingcod to appear in Krobu’s shop. Check out there, and you may find some.
How to Breed Lingcod
Lingpods can be placed in a pond to reproduce every four days. This removes the need to fish for them. You can also use Lingcod to create Fishing Vests, but they’ll need to be put in a Sewing Machine. Note that Lingcods cannot be used in bundles.
