Where to Find Balthazar – BG3
Coordinates: X:-605, Y:-1431
Balthazar is accessible at the end of Act 2. After you successfully complete the Umbral puzzle at the Thorn Mausoleum location, then climb the stairs on the west side and move on, there’s a room full of Balthazar’s servants.
Defeat the servants to open up access to Balthazar’s lab, which is found behind the Gauntlet of Shar.

Balthazar is weak in close combat, so you need to exploit it. Ensure that the companions are in the center of the arena to handle Balathazar’s teleport and AOE attacks. Stay as close to the enemy as possible to dodge ranged attacks and quickly strike.
