Each Terminid has various strengths and weaknesses, and you will need to understand how fighting against each works. Although they cannot be completely avoided, choosing the right drop places will ensure you face fewer of them.
How to Beat All Terminids in Helldivers 2
There are a total of 8 different types of Terminids in Helldivers 2. Here is how to beat each one.
Scavengers
Scavengers are the smallest Terminid, and the most common. They lack armor and have a small health pool, so most guns will take them out with ease. However, allowing a large number to build up and overwhelm you is dangerous. They also have deadly ranged attacks. Do not ignore them in favor of larger enemies. Consider using Stratagems like the Tesla Tower to prevent them from closing in.
Warriors
Warriors are larger, tougher Terminids you will encounter. They have moderate armor and more HP than Scavengers. However, they aren’t fast, and lack ranged attacks. Simply headshot them before you get in range of their claws.
Hunters
Hunters leap around and often spring into the middle of your squad for a fast swipe. They’re best dealt with by using AoE damage, as they are more concerned with avoiding direct fire.
Stalkers
Stalkers are fragile but can go invisible. If you get in range of their claws, you will take massive damage. Fortunately, they cannot remain hidden for long, so shoot them as soon as they appear to protect yourself from their strike.
Bile Spewers
Bile Spewers spit acid at you and your squad, which is enough to quickly kill you. Dodge the attacks using a Jump Pack or a well-timed dive. Once the Bile Spewer has spewed, there appears to be a short cooldown which you can use to sneak in a headshot with a moderately powerful weapon.
Bile Titans
Bile Titans are massive beasts with large health pools, high armor, and a caustic ranged attack. The straightforward approach is to riddle them with bullets and Orbital Strikes until they turn into mist. You can also call down a Hellpod.
Chargers
Chargers are massive, armored Terminids that behave like bulls. They run at high speeds towards you from a distance. If you don’t use Stratagems, the only option is to dive out of the way when the charge occurs, then try to shoot the exposed rear of the creature in between. This makes the Chargers one of the most feared enemies in the game.
Investing in a Jump Pack lets you vault over Chargers and other obstacles very fast to get into the right position.
Brood Commanders
Brood Commanders use claw gestures and pheromones. When one is active, you can expect other enemies to attack with higher coordination and behave more intelligently. While the Brood Commander is not dangerous, it has heavy armor. It’s best to use a Support Weapon like a Machine Gun, Laser Gun, or Rocket Launcher to fight them.
